UNMAINTAINED: CBOR serialization and deserialization using serde.
Documentation

UNMAINTAINED

Unfortuanly I don't have enough time to maintain this crate well. Originally I wrote it to toy with serde and CBOR but it is now actually used by some people.

If you use this crate and want to continue to improve it please open a PR and we can discuss how to best transfer the repository and crates.io entry.

I will still review PRs.

The crate has a bunch of bugs that need to be fixed:

  • #37 packed encoding is broken
  • Error messages are mostly useless.

There are more things that can be improved. Have a look at the issues.

Serde CBOR Serialization Library

Build Status Crates.io Documentation

This crate is a Rust library for parsing and generating the CBOR (Concise Binary Object Representation) file format. It is built upon Serde, a high performance generic serialization framework.

About CBOR

CBOR is a binary encoding based on a superset of the JSON data model. It supports all the standard JSON types plus binary data, big numbers, non-string keys, time values and custom data types using tagging of values. CBOR is always shorter than the corresponding JSON representation and easier and faster to parse.
